My car is as you have described, good cooling system in good condition, and I've been stuck in or weather and bad traffic. Gererally I've been fine. There may have been an occasion where I chose to shut down the AC, but in general its been OK. If you do start to run hot, get off the freeway if you can, or pull over and get out of lanes. There was a point when my cooling system did have a small problem and I thought I'd be ok. Don't take chances if it gets too hot. My biggest fear when traveling is getting suck in a traffic jam and the vehicle overheating. How possible is this if the fans are working properly and the coolant is fresh, but it may be over an hour in crawling traffic? Will the constantly running fans do any electrical overload damage? Would lifting the rear window louver improve air flow? john [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
