First, lets say its more fun to drive a DeLorean 125 mph on the autobahn then to drive 65 mph on highway :-)) I bought my DeLorean in 1996 with the front springs simple cut and lowered to the maximum. On the autobahn at high speed the car jumped like a young dog, but in 2006 I changed to Eibach shocks/springs and changed all bushinges on front and rear suspension and since that day I have a new car. My DeLorean drives as well as Lotus has developed it, no more rattle and shaking on streets and no more BANG! at pottholes. Pictures: http://www.steinerklaus.de/dmc/fahrwerk/index.htm One month ago I put in a new steering rack from DMCH and now my car drives like on rails! I have the same expierience as Elvis, 200 kilometers/hour (=125 mph) high speed on flat road, a little bit downhill or wind from the back is 220 km/h (=140 mph)high speed. Average speed on autobahn-trips (less traffic...)is 160km/h (100 mph), fuel is 23.5 miles/gal. (10 liters/100 km) Here in Germany its the same as in the States, when I'm parking my DeLorean or pullig over for fuel or icecream (!) a crowd of people meet around the car. When they ask that well known question "Where ist the flux capacitor" ? I only point to the rear inside of the car and say: look over there! http://www.steinerklaus.de/dmc/myflux.mpg Klaus #05980 Germany www.steinerklaus.de See you all at DCS Gettysburg > 5a.
