Thanks to Charles Kline(Chuck) vin 3254 now has a new button for opening/closing the garage door. We took my mini remote garage door opener popped it open then soldered a couple of wires to the circut board, modified the case slightly to accept these wires coming out then put connectors on opposite end and plugged them into an old window switch. We made the wires long enough so that all you have to do is pop out the ashtray in order to change the battery in the remote. It is really great no more fishing around in the ashtray to find the remote. No more big clunker remote hanging off the visor. I keep wanting to drive the car around just so I can come home and push the button. Also, I highly recommend Charles' work it really looks proffesional. His soldering appears to be top rate, and he cut the box perfectly. I'll take some pictures tonight and post them for all to see. Thanks again Charles, if you need a place to work just let me know, my garage is availible. This goes for everybody in the Denver area who may need a place to work. ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
