On the other hand, if you let your friend "borrow" the car (non-commercial), then she and her husband *could* be covered under your insurance. I have mine insured normally, so anyone I let borrow the car is covered as long as I am not getting paid. The handful of friends I trust enough are grateful.... :-) I've done weddings for free before, but I've never let anyone actually drive the car. Usually they've just wanted it for pictures. I don't mind as long as I have the time. Plus, I'm an ultra-nice guy. Bottom line is: we can speculate all we want, but you'll only know by calling your insurance company. Generally when you use your car "For Hire" your insurance does NOT cover it. You can have your insurance company insure it just for the event. You can contact them and ask them how much. As for a fee, I did a "Delorean" wedding in October of last year for a girl in Rhinebeck, NY. I drove there and then drove the Bride from the mansion to the back in the Delorean to make an entrance to the field where they held the ceremony. About 4 hours. I did not get extra insurance. I charged $500. I had asked for 1/2 in advance to hold the date.
