David, Where did you 3 hours. You must be reading to much information over the DML.:-)) Take a look at the tech man page 57 . The TTS opens contacts at around 95F . A lot of cars in the summer here in Dallas when were 100+ the contacts will always be open and won't fire off the cold start. That's why if's called a ( Thermal/hot coolant) ( time switch / electrical ). Works on either time and a heating element or coolant temp. There is no 3 hours. What if it was 90F outside and it took 14 hours to drop below the 95F+/- 20%.
