Re: [DML] DeLorean vs Volvo F Series Question (Martin Gutkowski)

Bill,

I bought an F series Volvo engine (complete with Volvo pulleys, crank
case and sump) still on it's cradle with the engine code starting B28F,
stripped it down to its components parts and used them to build a
DeLorean engine. The block was not usable due to having been stored
badly. The distributor had the same part number, the bob weights were
the same shape and even the pistons had the same profile (ie it was the
same compression ratio). All this stuff is different on a B28E which I
have also used to build more tham one engine. I've stripped and used
B280E's, B29's, Z6W's, Z7U's, Z7X's....

Exactly what an F series engine was doing in the UK I have no idea.

I've built several PRV's Bill. How many have you built?

And don't start quoting Renault engine numbers at me. I've got the
manual listing all the numbers, but I really can't be bothered posting a
scan. Who'd care?
