This whole "versus other cars" attitude is why I choose to forgo indoor display. I did not buy a DeLorean to challenge or compete with other owners. One of the reasons I drive thousands of miles to hang out with a bunch of DamnYankee's (one word) in the DMA is because, other than a small merchandise raffle, their events do not include a competitive element. They are a bunch owners coming *TOGETHER* for fun & support. (Marc does show off by weaving and passing people in the caravan, but that's just foolishness of youth). Please don't confuse my own ownership philosophy for a lack of support of DCS and its indoor display. If other owners wish to compete with each other -- great. My body will be in there with them, marveling and appreciating their fine machines. I suppose it's beneficial they do NOT feel as I do, otherwise we'd all be standing around a big empty room with nothing to look at. BTW: Newbies aren't the only ones poked with sharp sticks on the DML. I've been the recipient of enough barbs to leak water when I drink. Just imagine what a bunch of strangers would do to my vehicle in judged competition. I'd be the first owner in DCS history to accumulate negative points. At the awards ceremony I'd owe you a trophy.
