I haven't tried the binnacle yet, but I did have an interesting experience replacing the Heater and A/C lights some time back. The downside was that I had my dash cut for my Alpine CD/MP3 player. This was unfortunate, as I didn't realize some of the vendors sell a nice, removable facplate that you don't need to saw to death. I also got metal filings up my fingers because the radio shop didn't bother to clean out the other side. Good thing I had a magnet! -ow. I was able to salvage the OEM control display decal thing, with minor bubbles that needed smoothing out after replacement. The doors looked awesome too, but sadly my passenger side developed a short in the harness not long after I put the LED's in. So I ended up disconnecting the clip under the vent to prevent a reenactment of Chernobyl. (The end of the wire started to resemble a piece of melted licorice.) But the upside is my HVAC lights are no longer burning my fingers every time I touch it. I'd honestly like to add a solid backlit instrument cluster someday. Red would be my personal fav, or maybe flame orange-red! -John #10715 To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
