Pete, I agree with Tom that you should put it on and try it so we could here your opinion. A good customer of mine put one on his car and was impressed enough to have me order a second one for his other DeLorean while it was in for service. Although I was skeptical at first, for the same reasons as you are, on the initial road test it felt like the car had a crisper feel on initial turn-in for a corner and perhaps a flatter stance (hopefully not the ?placebo effect?:) although I would need more seat time to very this and any other improvements. One negative is that it interferes with the trunk carpet positioning unless you?re willing to drill holes in this currently unavailable part. Perhaps my customer (also a DML?er) would want to comment as well as he has both an early and a late VIN DMC with some what different driving characteristics and both cars have the strut bar. My initial impressions were positive. My engineering judgement tells me that what we are seeing is what another member of this list suggested - a placebo effect. But just the same, I agree with you. I have to bolt it on and see what happens. The person whose judgement I respect the most is Rob Grady. Not really fair of me to ask him to step into this, but just the same I'm quite curious regarding his opinion. Rob - any thoughts on this that you'd be willing to share? If not with the list, then with me off-line? ("Front Strut Bar" Question) Peter: I wholly respect your expertise here. I'd just suggest that since you already have it, and it can be installed and replaced with the original bolts so quickly, why not give it a try before you sell it. Just a thought. As yu pointed out some people swear by it. Every engineer I know loves a good exercise in applied science - just take it for a spin since it's already in the garage.
