You do know that DeLoreans transmit every pavement imperfection through the steering wheel. We don't have a "rag joint" (flexible steering coupling). Instead, DMC ran the fixed steering column through a rubber grommet in the firewall. Does keep the poor thing from snapping or bending as the body flexes, but does absolutely nothing to isolate pavement conditions.
