Group, I have to share this interesting registration experience with you. I walked into the Wisconsin DMV today to title my 1981 "D". The DMV clerk was a lady with a really nice personality and all in all it was a smooth transaction until she said "Oh, a Delorean. That's the one with the aluminum body". I smiled and said " I know it might look like aluminum but it is really stainless steel". She never looked away from her computer and said "oh". We chatted a bit more and she came to the color block on the title and asked what color is it. I said it really wasn't a color but is stainless steel. She said "I have to have a color what is it closest to". I said "silver". She smiled and typed in the computer some more. I just went to the car to get the title and file it away. What to my wondering eye should appear on the title under color??? Color: Silver/Aluminum I guess the stainless steel illusion we have been under was really a cold war communist conspiracy. The DMV has the last word. "Aluminum" it is!!!
