RE: [DML] USA DeLorean HIGH PRICE on eBay

I happened to check on this auction again tonight.

Two people have asked why the car is worth $77K.  One even directly asks
about the price and states that a DMCH refurbished car with stage II engine
is only $56K.   The seller does not answer other then to say they are the
original owner, the mileage is accurate, and to get a carfax report to
validate.

Does anyone in the Pittsburgh area know this person/car?  If I was closer I
would actually like to go see it and really entertain myself with the
discussion that ensues.  ;)

Mmmmyeah. If he gets anywhere NEAR $77K for his car, I'll put mine on eBay
tomorrow at half that and be happy. Hell, I'll even throw in an Audi Quattro
I'm selling as well. And that's not all! I'd even deliver it in person and
take a plane back to Toronto, for that kind of cash. 
Good grief.

I'd be tempted to say this is bogus -- generic form-answers, refusal to use
eBay contact methods, a single photo which looks like it came out of an '80s
magazine -- but he seems to know lots of details about the car, unlike most
scammers. Plus, scams usually ask for low $$$ amounts. Oh well, best of
luck.
