Farrar, These are the same folks that use double words all the time, which make me cringe when reading them written, such as: VIN number = Vehicle Identification Number number ATM machine = Automated Teller Machine machine NIC card = Network Interface Card card Unfortunately, it seems like these things keep coming up more and more, even in "edited" publications. Maybe people will get embarrassed enough to start using the abbreviations correctly (especially in writing) but I doubt it. Keep the faith, Farrar. Things may change for the better.
