Look ot EBay item # 130177339406. As you can see there several cars used an angle drive that looks very similar to the DeLoreans. In fact the gear box is identical but the cable is much shorter and it's machined just a bit differently where it attaches to the spindle. If these are still being made it seems like having them make a DeLorean version wouldn't be a difficult thing to do. In any event it's been a common item on several British cars and it's NOT just another poor Lotus engineered part.
