Before you go messing with the distibuter pull one spark plug (any will do) and see if you get spark while cranking the motor over. If you do have a nice blue spark put the plug back in and use a TINY amount of Ether sprayed into the mixture unit while the motor is cranking. If it gets it to run at all it is a fuel problem, probably in the cold start circuit. That or the mixture screw is way off. If you don't have a nice fat, blue spark you have an electrical problem. Common causes are: bad/dirty connections on the ballast resistor bad impulse coil bad ignition coil bad ignition wires worn spark plugs If the distibuter was not touched the timing should be alright.
