Some of the performance ignition posts have mentioned multi-electrode and exotic metal spark plugs. For clarification: I do *NOT* support those plugs. My experience has been that traditional single electrode plugs -- gapped wide of course -- work best with high voltage ignition. I burn Pertronix 40,000 or 45,000 coils and 8mm or 8.5mm wires on all my vehicles, but traditional plugs. I thought my DeLo had Delco 42's in it, but they're actually 44's. Look good, so my combination of fuel metering and driving conditions suit that temp range. Are actually gapped .041" rather than .040". The electrodes look brand new -- the spark isn't degrading anything. Ceramic is golden tan, certainly not broken or blistered. Methinks my PRV is happy.
