I was just poking around some Land Rover sites, wondering what life would be like if I were to acquire yet another piece of UK automotive exotica. Since Rovers and D's share electrics manufactured by my long- lost uncle Joe, I discovered some technical information of some relevance to DeLorean owners. In particular, it turns out that Lucas has a standard scheme for wire color-codes. If you download this file: http://www.landroverparts.us/seriesLandRover/s_cat_pages/ series42to55.pdf and scroll down to the fourth page, you will find a table of these standard codes. A quick spot check suggests that the D follows this scheme closely enough for it to be useful when troubleshooting. Oh, and speaking of Lucas electrics, the following may also be of interest: http://www.mez.co.uk/lucas.html Enjoy, --Pete Lucas, POD VIN #06703 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
