[DML] Re: Replacing the Fuel Filter Canister, Copper Washers, and the Man Behind the C



Your procedure IS the preferred method. It has its drawbacks. Not
recomended for novices, requires a torch, and is dangerous around
fuel. From my experience the silicone sealer is easier for a novice,
helps to get the fitting tighter, can seal up small imperfections, and
does seem to seal well even under pressure and contact with gasoline.
