[DML] Common misconception?

So I'm getting my hair cut today (at my age, I'm happy to have hair to 
cut!) and the barber apparently restores/owns 8 vintage cars (Willys 
Jeep, Mustang, Pontiac, etc.). When I tell him I've got a deposit on a 
Delorean, he asks if I'm getting the "Ford" version or the "Chrysler" 
version (referring to the engine type, I think). What's he talking 
about?
