Access is a relative term. Once the car is set up and running correctly there is little need to get to those areas. Every 2 years you do need to flush the clutch but unless you are putting on a lot of miles you won't have to tune up the motor for a long time. The coolant is good for 5 years, the ignition system 10 years (with limited mileage). I agree that supercharging does have some advantages over turbos but each has it's own problems too. Some motors will respond better to forced induction at low RPM's than high and that is where the supercharger is going to help a lot. The supercharger will have a fall-off in performance at the higher RPM's, that is where the turbocharger will work better. Of course it is not only the way you force induction that matters. The intake, exhaust, valves, camshaft, all have a major effect on the way a motor will develop horespower and torque. BTW superchargers have their own problems with heat since they are always compressing the air/fuel charge the charge is generally hotter so you must intercool or detune the motor to prevent detonation. I would not recommend dumping the K-Jetronic just because you can improve access to areas you seldom need to go.
