So if the intent is not to reproduce, why would you spend upwards of $30K to manufacture a "replica" one just for yourself? Why not just do an engine swap with a Nissan, lotus, or Northstar engine like other people have done for a much lower cost and higher performance gain? In the end, the only thing you gain is that you are building an engine that LOOKS like a Legend engine, but is not. Most people don't know what a Legend Twin Turbo looks like anyway so it will be difficult to impress them with your accomplishment. IMHO it seems a rather costly expense for making a high performance engine that is supposed to look like a Legend engine, and most people will fail to notice or appreciate. What I found out about Legend 502 and what I might build will be a better more up to date version with today's tech, it will just look like the Legend set up when you open the engine cover. It will also be for ME and not for sale as it will most likely cost me $30,000 to do it. After all the time I put into working on 502, I was torn to sell it but had to. I liked it so much that I may build one for myself.
