You're not alone with your antenna problems, I went to turn the radio on in my car the other day and it wouldn't go up. It just makes a click sound when it gets turned on and off. I located the noise and it's coming from something that looks like a relay, which is attached to the antenna mast. I had two long screws that were holding mine in place. It was a nightmare getting it off cause my screws kept spinning and you can't get a wrench or anything behind to hold it.
