spaceace3113, You are 100% correct on that...I was talking about a 50-60K($50,000- $60,00.00)price tag on a Vendor Refuburshied car...not a Classic Mint showcar Delorean...those cars are in a class of their own...just as you stated. I was talking about spending 50-60K on a Delorean and the return..if down the road,it was to be sold.Meaning that you get more for your 60K with a ferrari/Lambo/Lotus,Musclecar etc, than you would get down the road on a Rehabbed Delorean,Basically we have seen/heard of people spending that kind of money in their purchase or rebuilding of their Delorean, and then trying to get their "investment" back,in the real world that is just not going to happen..you will lose your shirt. One DML'er comes to mind, that spent 25K (or more?)and that was after paying 20K plus for the car to buy it...he resides here in my state,(thats why I remember it) to a vendor not far from my state. It was just sad seeing him trying to sell his Delorean on Ebay(twice) at a "loss" starting at 40K,with "0" bids at closing...granted it was nice, but more than likely he had to take a even steeper loss,to sell it(if he sold it) That and that is what I do not wish on any Delorean owner,to face the truth, when it comes to selling after spending/putting/shelling out the big bucks into it. People get the "Delorean fever"(I know I did,and it took me 22 years or until 2004 to get over it )NOW I see the light and how much foolish $$$$$$ I spent and lost while I had the Delorean Fever.I just don't want anybody else to fall in those shoes.Somebody has to mention the pitfalls of spending big bucks(over 25K) on a Delorean. I have owned a testarossa and the Delorean is just as striking with a better interior! The Delorean is every bit as exotic as the rest of them To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
