NO FLAMES please, I'm a newbie. I'm not a car mechanic, either, so I have a simple, perhaps dumb, question. If the original poster was getting excessive pressure differentials in his gas tank that causes inflows/bursts of air and gasoline when he opens the tank, why couldn't he just drill a 1/32" hole in the gas cap to relieve the pressure (or get a new gas cap)? I know he might lose some fuel due to evaporation, but hot gasoline blowing over the hood seems like a greater risk to me... --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "eremhcel" <dmcfive0@...> wrote: > > Thanks Andy, Mike, David and John.
