Hello. Eggenfellner aircraft engines in Florida converts 2.5l 4 cylinder and 3.0l cylinder Subaru engines into aircraft engines (different controller, lighter external parts, reduction gear for propeller). They are good engines, in my opinion. Very quiet. I'm also acquainted with, but do not know personally, the gentleman who is the main pioneer of the Mazda aircraft conversions. They are not as numerous than Subaru conversions, it seems. My two cents, which you asked for, so please don't flame me for giving it, is that the PRV is such a good engine (other than that unavoidable odd-firing problem and the associated drivetrain stress), that neither the Subaru horizontally opposed nor the Mazda Wankel engines represents a compelling replacement for it, if you're just looking for more power. But the spirit of experimentation?... That's a great reason to do it. Rick Gendreau. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Steve" <p2freak@...> wrote: > > Good info.
