Shain, I had essentially the same problem late last year. My ISM checked out ok and the microswitch was functioning properly. Although it looked like the linkage was not staying open, it turned out that the dog-bone between the throttle spool and the butterflies had evidently slipped a thread or two and was just a hair too long. A simple 30-second repair of popping off one end and tightening it a few turns solved my high idle issue and now it purrs. Feel free to call me with any questions. Hope this helps!
