As owners and enthusiasts, I suspect that most of the people on this list know that there is a lot of misinformation out there about the Delorean. I happened to be looking in Yahoo Answers today, and did a search on Delorean. There are lots of questions about the car, but I was surprised about how many where misleading or flat out wrong. I think my favorite wrong answer was this one: "The deloreon company went out of business after it built it first 1,000 cars. There are only 68 left in the United States that are driven according to RMV how many are actually left who knows there are probably a few tucked away in garages some where considering you can't even buy parts for them you have to have them made. My friends father owns one and he can't find parts any were" So there you go. I've got one of the remaining 68 left in the US. Who's got the other 67? ;) (His source was listed as "a book report my daughter did" - aren't our schools doing a good job?)
