Hi Guys, Thanks for the advice. I brought the car up to my Dads house on Thursday night and called up last night to work on things. I brought with me my box of "old and removed" parts to start changing bits over and low and behold it turned out to be a faulty coil that I had fitted last year brand new. What was initially throwing me was that I was getting a spark and fuel (I spoke to Paul O and got some advise on checking the fuel properly along with a few other things - thanks Paul) but still would not fire, even with easy start. Then the next time I checked it there was no spark and then another time there was so we (Dad and I) decided to replace the coil first and just try eliminating parts. So we removed all of the spark plugs (well 5 of them - you all know which five! lol) and turned the engine over a bit to clear things out. Warmed the spark plugs up, squirted small amount of easy start into the plug holes and screwed them in again. Then turned the car over for a bit and everything came to life. I also was flicking the fuel relay at the time but still am putting things down to the coil because when I switched them back again the problem returned. Ive now got the original coil (bosch) in the car and the car is starting on the button as opposed to a few turnsover to get going. Ill get onto the vendor about a possible replacement because I would have thought a coil would last for longer than a year, especially in a car that is not driven every day. I also have the coil cover in case anyone is wondering. Thanks again for the advice. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
