The oil gauge is notoriously flakey.? At normal engine temps, the oil pressure will be 30-45 PSI, and at nearly any RPM above idle it will be around 70-80 PSI.? You may want to get the updated oil pressure sender, or you could have a good shop do a mechanical oil pressure test to make sure you aren't really going that low at idle.? I'd put money on a misbehaving OEM sender. Andy does anyone else have an oil guage that fluctuates upon acceleration and deacceleration? i'm sure its just a guage problem because when i'm at a full stop it will go down to almost zero. just wondering if anyone else has this problem. thanks -----Original Message----- From: ryen0 <ryen0@xxxxxxxxx> To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Fri, 6 Jul 2007 1:02 pm Subject: [DML] oil guage does anyone else have an oil guage that fluctuates upon acceleration and deacceleration? i'm sure its just a guage problem because when i'm at a full stop it will go down to almost zero. just wondering if anyone else has this problem. thanks To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
