The only things that jump into my mind is bad gas, RPM relay has gone bad, or the connection into the inertia switch is corroded or melted. I saw a post somewhere where the fuel pump was not sending the correct amount of pressure to the fuel distributor caused by a melted plug on the inertia switch. Which is the little black thing under the dash that controls the ground for the fuel pump it will cut off the fuel pump in the event of an accident.
