Problems with the boards in the taillights is VERY common. There are things you can do to improve them and PJ Grady sells an improved board that you can replace your O E boards with. If you choose to fix up your old boards use scotch-brite to clean up the spot that the connector attaches, tiny screws through the rivets, and a wire brush (from a plumbing supply used to clean inside copper fittings) to clean everything up. You can also try soldering the bulb sockets and rivets to the boards. New bulbs might also help. Some vendors now sell L.E.D.'s to replace the origional bulbs.
