Because of the design and construction of the clutch packs it is not practical to modify it to handle more horsepower. That includes the torque convertor, the C/V joints, etc. Realize that is was designed to handle around 150 HP and now realize you are asking it to handle MORE THAN DOUBLE that number. If reliablity is of any concern you would realize that you will have to also replace the transmission. Go over to the Lotus website and look at the conversion that was done putting a Lotus motor and transmission into a Delorean. Don't even THINK of what that cost!
