I disagree - I think the price is affected: Negatively. Painted DeLorean = "Car got into an accident and was bondo-repaired" in many buyers' minds. Certainly this is not always the case and for that matter it may be more of a myth than anything. I'm sure there are examples of this happening but who knows what the ratio of "I wanted to paint it" to "I had to paint it" cars is. The point is, you don't know. The stainless is one of the most unique and cool features of this car. Once painted, restoring it back may not be easy and you don't know what you're going to find under there. Maybe the stainless is nice. Maybe it's been destroyed for the paint job. Maybe it's all dinged and dented to heck and bondo'd over. Who knows? Certainly if you're in the market for a painted DeLorean, that's one thing, but I don't think most buyers are. -Ryan To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
