Dave, did you read my post. Hot start is an accumulator / pressure problem not a RPM relay problem. Last Friday I was at a cruise night here in Long Island and when I went to start the car after it was off for about 3 hours, it cranked well and seemed to catch for a spit second then just cranked and cranked. I jumpered the RPM relay and still nothing, just cranked and cranked. So I thought it might be an ignition problem. I took out my spark plug tester, basically a neon bulb in series with a spark plug wire, and inserted it into the top of the ignition coil. I then asked someone to "try to start the car while I would watch the tester" Well the car started right up in a split second like there was no problem at all. Hence my original question as to how long you need to jumper the RPM relay for before you will build up enough pressure / purge the lines... What exactly is happening with the hot start problem. Is it just low pressure that needs to build up, which should build up in a second or two, or is it some vaporization phenomena like vapor lock in which you need to pump enough gas in to purge the lines, which may take longer...
