The folks here are good people and are merely trying to help. Based on the description the car looks like a basket case. Seriously. It may be a very nice car given the money that's been put into it, but you just can't sell it with this many things wrong. Not for that kind of money, anyway. Some tips? 1. Fix all of the electrical problems. That cuts the list of problems way down. The car can't be driven the way it is - no radiator fans? No turn signals? Fix 'em. 2. Don't say, "Seats are bad but new ones are included." Just install the new seats. It's a 10 minute job. Then you can turn a negative into a positive: "Seats are brand new." 3. Same thing with that A/C compressor. If your friend went to the trouble of buying a new one, go through the trouble to install it and get the A/C working. 4. Buy and install new headliners, for crying out loud. That's a relatively inexpensive item compared to how much it will drag the value of the car down to have them flat out missing. If you want to sell a project car, that's OK, but you'll have to cut the price in half. Otherwise, put two grand into it, fix all of the problems, and then you'll have no trouble getting $15k out of her. -Ryan To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
