[DML] Re: Strange Relay Part Two

Perhaps I was not real accurate in my description in my first post.
I have the normal relay that has the blue and yellow wires and is
located in the same spot, on a bracket that was installed at the
factory. This one seems to be wired to the resister pack and I think
that it does the same thing as number two relay!

The one that I am asking about is a second relay that was added next
to the first and it goes from the hot, on the battery post in the
engine compartment, to the coil via the relay and is activated by the
starter.

That is the one that I am questioning. I understand that there is
one that is standard on all cars located in the same spot.

John, this one is located right next to the first one and it is
mounted directly to the firewall by the nut that holds the bracket on
the firewall.

I have looked at a number of Deloreans and I have never seen it on
another car. Frankly, it is strange that it would be mounted where
it is as other than the ground wire, which attaches to the resister
frame, all of the other wires are located under and around the coil.
It would seem like it would have bee easier to have mounted in near
the coil.

Thanks,

Scot
