I think $15K might be a slightly high number unless you are talking about a total frame off restoration. I paid for $15K for my whole car and it was in minty condition. For nly a few thousand and the help of the vendors you can replace the entire fuel and brake system, these two things are the biggest trouble makers to a car that has been sitting. A few electrical upgrades might be needed, and maybe some A/C service, and maybe some of DMCH's seat covers. - Videobob http://www.dfwdmc.com >From: Faded N Jaded <fadednjaded@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: Re: [DML] Newbie to DeLoreans >Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 10:36:14 -0700 (PDT) > >If it's in original condition, as you say, then expect to spend thousands >of dollars beyond the purchase price on upgrades to bring it up to safe and >reliable standards.
