The slave cylinder is difficult to see from the top. The clearest shot is to lift the car and look from underneath. Even then it is not great but it is observable. From the top it is easier if you remove the engine cover and you climb on top of the motor. It is directly in front on the centerline of the car but way down. Even when you change it you mostly do it by touch. Bleeding it is no picnic either. If you see brake fluid in that area it can only come from the slave cylinder and if you do then you MUST remove it to replace or rebuild. If you lift the car and follow the braided line you will also find the slave cylinder.
