[DML] Troubles with Delores 17076

Hi gang,
   
  A few questions for the experts as 17076 "Delores" begins to emerge from Winter hibernation.
   
  1. The rear defroster light is now always on. What might THAT be?
   
  2. The transmission fliud had begun been dripping out last summer. Nothing major and she just required a top up of Dot 4 from time to time. I put a shoe mat on the floor of the garage and the drips ended up there. 
   
  While the engine was exercised regularly over the winter... conditions here in Toronto Canada prevented any actual drives from late December till now. Went to get her moving last week and found that the clutch goes straight to the floor with no resistance. Opened the tranny fluid reservoir under the hood and it is empty... with nothing on the garage floor so I likely now have fluid trapped somewhere in the underbody. 
   
  Any and all thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
