The only things that will affect fuel consumption are the cams, exhaust, and possibly, depending on what was actually done when the heads were "reworked", the heads themselves. All of those things will potentially improve the engine's "breathing" (it's volumetric efficiency) and require extra fuel to maintain the correct mixture. Why did you go to custom pistons by the way? Are you planning on boosting the motor? Did you do anything to up the compression ratio?
