After cleaning the board the brake light worked fine ... then it didn't. I think I'll just purchase some upgraded boards and put the originals away for posterity. As much as I like to keep my car original, safety comes first! One more question: while inspecting my engine, I saw that my muffler bracket (part #108200; located on the right side of the engine, attached to the alternator, muffler, and block) was cracked. The original cracked similarly a year ago (and was replaced), so I was surpised to see a new part fail so quickly. Is this piece known to have a high failure rate?
