The engine starts in 2nd gear? There is no neutral? No reverse? Is there "park"? These indicate a mechanical problem. If you take the fuse out (fuse 13)- it should go into 3rd gear when you are in "D". If the fuse pull doesn't work you most likely have a mechanical problem - stuck solenoid, broken cable, malfunctioning multi-function switch, etc. Properly checking the trans requires some specific knowledge of the transmission, and some special tools (some you can build). Hopefully you are near a DeLorean service center because that is what you probably need. Car has been sitting for years and shifted once on a test drive. Any ideas? I will be changing the fluid and filter this weekend. > > --------------------------------- > Any questions?
