RE: [DML] DCS 2010

[MODERATOR NOTE: This is perhaps the longest post in DML history. I am approving it to provide balance, but I will not approve replies that quote it. - Mike Substelny, DML moderator of the week]

Yet again why has this turned into a "my city is better" Or "your city sucks compared to mine"?

I am sorry Disney World did not live up to your expectations and I don't know where you live, but please find below some attractions beyond necessarily Disney to see in Orlando. I am sure each and every one of these 207 things are found close to you, but for the benefit of others please read. There are other reasons why CENTRAL (not South) Florida is the Number 1 tourist destination in the US. Also remember we are looking at Universal Studios for the show - have you been bored by that too?

Again I am not sure how it was reduced to this, I was not pushing for any city down here necessarily, just wondering why St. Louis was so important, and you answered a good point - centrally located. And if you really read my posts before getting agitated by one part, you would notice I have mentioned many MANY cities further North where this show could be held.

Can anyone please explain why all anyone can do is bash where I live when responding to a question about possible locations for a show to be held in 3 years?

Please enjoy some light reading on what there is to do in Orlando including but above and beyond Disney:

The main reason St. Louis keeps coming up is because it's central to
a hell of alot more of the country than south florida. Personally
i've been to Orlando twice. I don't really have any interest in going
back. There was nothing there that can't be found closer to me
besides disneyworld, and after you've seen the whole place twice,
that gets old as well.
