Forum, While I agree that the nearly endless construction projects in the Chicago area and a Corvette show at the same location were in some ways hassles, I do not think either of these two things actually kept people from seeing Chicago, if they wanted to. While it was not promoted as much as I had expected during DCS, there was a 25th Anniversary DeLorean Cruise of Lake Shore Drive that took place on Sunday morning. While many grumbled about an early start time, everyone who participated enjoyed NO traffic of any kind as we drove the wrote to downtown Chicago and ran up Lake Shore Drive, including a loop around the Millennium Park. As we continued North up the Gold Coast and onto Sheridan Road, the only things we did not see were Wall Street and Lower Wacker Drive. We stopped for some great photos and video right next to Lake Michigan and a few folks even strolled on the beach briefly. Our "show and shine" stop at the Volo Auto Museum did get wet with a brief passing rain shower, but was not a total rainout. For those who did miss this part of DCS 2006, Tamir did a great job of filming the event and put together a nice short video for the DeLorean Midwest club. I'm sure Tamir would consider having this displayed at DCS 2008, for those who missed it at DCS 2006. If I have time, I will try to put a short article together for DCS Magazine, complete with photos and the cruise logo image for the next DCS issue (if there is still room for 'old' news, LOL). Thanks again for all who participated in the cruise in Chicago. Later, Rich W. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, lordshill@... wrote: > > Jack.. > > Chicago was my first DCS and I really enjoyed it.
