FWIW, I have no interest in ever performing an engine swap. Instead I have wondered how others felt about such a task, not necessarily in technical terms, but more metaphorical; i.e. the engine symbollically representing the core essence, or heart, of the DeLorean. Yeah, I'm a weird one. :O ) To me, the perfect DeLorean is one with a modifed PRV and minor interior altercations to suit my tastes. The only engine swap I would be interested in would be one of the 650HP race-version PRV's. Now that would be wicked! I just couldn't understand the mindset of wanting to put a different engine in the D because it's a nice reliable engine when kept up, but from the posts this topic has generated I see that engine swapping is just another form of modification. And that is ususally for wont of more power. Much like me wanting to take a Hyundai Tiburon and stuff the 3.8L Azera engine under the hood! I suppose I've held a false reverence for the D since I've wanted one for so long. But I will have one and she will be mine to enjoy. Thanks guys, you gave me what I wanted: different views on the purpose of swappng the PRV for a different powerplant. Topic closed. :O ) --------------------------------- Don't pick lemons.
