Even what seems like a straight forward engine swap, a 3.0 Eagle PRV, can turn into a real project. It all starts with the fact that it wont even bolt in... you first have to swap out the lower engine cradle to get that to happen. Then you have to decide how to run the EFI and the distributorless ignition. Since the D isnt equipped for these things, do you try to bring over the electronics from an Eagle or do you go with aftermarket computers like MegaSquirt. Dont forget the Eagle exhaust is different also... and the air intake... etc, etc. Dave is correct, there is a lot to an engine sway.... and when your on the road with your D friends, you better be carring your own spare parts and manuals and have the knowledge to deal with whatever comes up.
