And so on that advice, I asked my bank about this- again -  and  this 
time they confirmed that  a wire transfer is not foolproof.  The 
funds can, indeed, be pulled back out of my account or I can be held 
responsible for them if I've withdrawn them. The safest way, they 
say, is to use an International Cashiers Check or Money Order and 
wait for it to clear - about six weeks. Once it does, it is not reversible.

Martin or Elvis - is either one of you anywhere near Oxfordshire?
