I recently found a unit that is a "battery cutoff" box but it operates by remote! I think it also has a monitoring system that disconnects the battery before it gets so low that the car won't start. Don't ask how the remote works if it has disconnected the battery - I have not figured that part out yet. Anyway, here is the link to a Canadian store that has it www.tinyurl.com/2lhtya - if you get asked for a postal code use l2a1a3 . You might be able to find a simalar box in the US.
