I'm sorry to say this but he is taking you for a ride... and you are buying 
it.
Think about it. Originally the engine was 2.85L and when he went to 3.0L he 
gained 50whp....hmmm... an increase of 50hp from just 150ccm.
I would say that he is multiplying the actual numbers by 2. 105hp at the 
wheels sounds exactly right for a D with free flowing exhaust.
I just hope you're not paying any extra for all that power that doesn't 
exist.
