It's not unusual. The "whole" sign is close to a foot thick and wieghs upwards of 200 pounds. A single side (minus the frame, lights, etc) is less than 2 inches thick and maybe 40-50 pounds. Much nicer for hanging on the wall in the den for example. Values recently - $2000 for a whole sign, $800 for each face. These are approximate and are avery dependent on condition and proximity to potential buyers, these are a pain to move. You can pay as much to ship it as the sign costs if you are not careful. Think about shipping a panel 2x the size of a DMC hood and not getting it bent or dented. The hanger for the upper light bar is fragile and prone to breaking loose and wandering around inside the sign, breaking the light bulbs and plastic lenses inside.
